The celebration of New Years is over, so what now for Mahya's Mineral Makeup World?

The casual yet trendy diva look! It's fast, easy, and all natural. This 'How To Do Look' will incorporate moisturizing techniques that will give your skin a re-energized glow during this drying season. Get your colors ready and begin to play ladies...

First prep your skin with Mahya's Mineral Mist. Spray generously, allowing a few seconds of dry time before continuing. Next apply Mahya's mineral foundation in your shade. Notice your foundation color is in between two shades? Try using one shade lighter and using bronzer
to build up to your level.

Then lightly tap Mahya's Eye Primer to your lids. With your finger, apply a shiny natural eye shadow to your middle lid. For light skin tones, I suggest China Rain . For darker skin tones, I suggest Model. Using your finger really gives the shade a full coverage yet metallic appearance.

Now you want to bring light to the eyes by adding a highlight shade to both the inner corner tear ducts and at brow bone. Try Fairy Tale for extra sparkle or Nude for a more calming and matte finish. You can use finger or small detailing brush.

Next, you want to bring depth and dimension back to the eyes by emphasizing your crease. With a blending brush, lightly apply a matte neutral brown to entire crease. The transition between shades should be seamless and as a gradient.Apply Mahya's Black Mascara to finish the eyes.

For cheeks, using a glowing and natural color is best. Try Mauve Glow, Cheeky, or Happy. To highlight your cheekbones, simply use the same highlight on your eyes and apply with blush brush.

Apply Mahya's nourishing and vitamin filled lipstick of your choice and top with the corresponding gloss. I suggest Tulip LipStick with Candy Girl or China Rain LipGloss.

To finish the look, set your makeup with Mineral Veil and spray a finishing coat of Mineral Mist. This allows the foundation to settle properly without leaving a matte finish.

New Year's Eve - Inspired Eye Tutorial

Celebrate ladies for all the wonderful days and nights 2011 has given you! It's that time of the year, when we must say good bye and look forward to new beginnings. Planing something festive or even dinner with your hubby? Either way, make this day memorable with the perfect makeup to match. Bring out the Mahya's new Glitter Stack and the bold colors!

For this inspired eye look, we will incorporate more orange and burgundy tones. This will enhance any eye color, even brown, because of the sparkly specs we will add. Follow the steps below and be ready for lots of pictures that night!

Step One:

Start with a bare base. Prep your skin with Mahya's moisturizer, especially under the eye.

Step Two:

Apply Mahya's Eye Primer to the whole eye area, including under the eye by your lash line using a flat synthetic brush.

Step Three:

Fill in your eye brows where there is no hair and avoid applying over the existing hairs so that you have more of a natural finish. The color I am using is Latte Mineral Eyeshadow. It is a matte shade and closest to my natural hair color so fits best. Apply using the angle brow brush.

Step Four:

Apply Russet Eye Shadow to the crease of your eye using the BK blending brush. Apply a small amount of this color to the lower lash line as well. When applying mineral eye shadows, be sure to tap any excess shadow back into the container to prevent fall out.

Step Five:

Apply a highlight to just below your brow bone and to the inner tear duct. I choose to use Nude Mineral Eye Shadow with a Flat Sable Brush.

Step Six:

Apply Off The Hook Eye Shadow to the lids (area below crease above top lash line) using the same flat sable brush. Also apply to the lower lashline just towards the front using the same brush's tip.

Step Seven:

Using the same BK brush, re-apply Russet Eye Shadow to just the outer corners of the eye lids and blend softly into the crease. This will create an extra hint of depth.

Step Eight:

Apply Mahya's Orange Glitter to the middle of your eye lids with the flat sable brush. To do this, you will first dap into the color, then spray with Mahya's Mineral Mist (for a light adhesive), then firmly tap onto the center lids. Repeat this process for the bottom lash line at the center.

Step Nine:

Apply Innocent Mineral Eyeshadow with the BK21 brush to the water line (inner rim of your bottom lash line). This can be applied wet/dry however, I prefer to apply dry for a long lasting effect.

Step Ten:

Apply Mahya's Black Mascara to both the top and bottom lash line.

Awesome, now you're glamourous and ready to rock any event in style!

Summer Drinks Inspired Series: Blue Moon Martini

Hello mineral makeup lovers! Today in our Summer Drink Inspired Series we are celebrating the beauty of the Blue Moon Martini. It's a vibrant blue and yellow combo that is great for highlighting your evening. Follow the few steps below to achieve the look using Mahya Mineral Makeup. Again ladies, these looks are fun, easy, and great for that summer time fling!

First using Mahya's Eye Primer. Apply this to entire eye base including your lower lash line with your finger tip.

Then apply Bonita mineral eye shadow to entire lid area with a flat eye shadow brush from the 612 Synthetic Brush Set and blend upwards with a clean small crease brush from the set.

Next using a ? brush, apply Tears of Love mineral eye shadow to the outer lower lash line. Be sure to blend well to create a smudged effect.

Now with Deep Sea mineral eye shadow, taking a damp eye liner brush from the same set, apply to bottom and top lash line as a thin eye liner.

Finally, apply Mahya's Black Mascara and the look is complete!

Summer Drinks Inspired Series: Red Sangria

Out at the pool? See the mini bar? Yes, it's time for those summer drink specials! Don't you automatically feel that much more closer to the beach when you see a colorful drink? Even if you don't drink, the colors just put you in a great mood to party and have fun. Let's take the fun from your favorite drinks and apply the theme to our eye makeup with 100% pure crushed minerals by Mahya Cosmetics! It's fun, it's flirty, and it's perfect for summer. Today's special selection is the Red Sangria. Mixed with bright orange and red colors, it's great for any complexion and eye color.

First to start, apply Mahya's Eye Primer with your index finger all across your eyes.

Next using Sunset mineral eye shadow, apply with the BK15 brush in tapping motion all across eye lids and slightly above your crease. Blend out with a clean BK18 brush, till the edge of the color has faded upwards.

Next taking Moulin Rouge mineral eye shadow, apply with the BK18 brush to the outer edge of crease and go about half way in with this color. You can also apply this color to the bottom lash line with a BK16 brush for the smokey effect. Blend this color into Sunset with the same clean BK18 brush.

Now using Italian Wine mineral eyeshadow, apply to the outer lid space (about 1/3) with a BK18 brush. You can also apply with the same Bk16 brush to the outer bottom lash line.

Now apply Mahya's Black Mascara and you're set for fun in the sun with the girls or a late night walk with your man!

Color Combo Tips: Brown Hair & Brown Eyes

The brown and mysterious leave people curious...dare to take it up a notch? The beautiful brunettes with brown eyes tend to downplay their looks with neutrals thinking it's safe. Well, it is. If you are the bold and the rare, follow us on this journey from taking the neutral side of life to a colorful world of wonder. Follow these easy steps with Mahya Mineral Makeup and see yourself like you never have before!

First apply Mahya Eye Primer to entire base of eyes with ring finger. You can even apply this to the bottom lash line for future color we will be placing.

Next with the BK15 Oval Shadow Brush, apply Show Off (electric fuscia) in tapping motion to lid and slightly above crease. Also apply this color with the BK42 Bullet Brush to entire lower lash line. Blend top and bottom edges out with clean BK15 Brush.

Now use the BK18 Deluxe Round Crease Brush to apply Violet (medium purple) to entire crease of eye in circular motions. Blend this out with the same clean brush from before. Using the same color, apply this to outer lower lash line with the BK42 Bullet Brush, even closer to lashes.

To make this look more dramatic, add Silky Purple (translucent white purple) to inner tear ducts and inner lower lash line with the BK42 Bullet Brush. Also by adding Deep Purple (dark black/purple) to outer crease with the same Bullet Brush, will create much depth and almost a smokey appeal.

Finally add Gothic (matte black) wet to top and bottom lash lines as a liner with the BK11 Angle Eye Liner Brush and Mahya Black Mascara to complete this look!

HOLIDAY: 4TH OF JULY INSPIRED EYE MAKEUP

What the weekend has in store for you may be more than you can handle! With the summer heat beating down on us, as women we should lighten the spirits of all with inspiring color from Mahya Mineral Makeup. For this 4th of July try rocking a blue dramatic eye look or even colors of a peacock. Not only does it make for a fun look, it also can be seductive with deeper shades of blues in the mix. Take a peek at our view on this holiday's most requested look and try it for your family picnic this year!

First apply Mahya Eye Primer to entire base of eye with finger. This helps any product adhere better to the lids and keeps the color vibrant longer without creasing.

Next using a flat eye shadow brush, like the BK15 , tap on Sky (light shade of blue) from lid to above crease and below lower lash line as well.

Using the same brush, apply Midnight (a deep shimmery blue) to crease and outer corners. Using a smaller brush, like the C160 Angle Liner Brush, apply this same eye shadow to the lower lash line closest to the lashes as possible so to make a nice gradient from dark to light.

Then taking China Rain (light pink and purple eye shadow with shimmer), add this to the inner corner of the eyes nearest to the tear duct. This is made easy by using the BK18 Deluxe Round Crease Brush.

Next apply Green Mile (matte light green) to outer corners of eyes, outside of Midnight (deep blue color) with the same BK18 Brush. You can also apply this color to the inner crease of eyes, near nose to create depth.

Last minute date? Maybe first time seeing your love after a long trip. Either way, aside from what to wear, what to do for your makeup look for that sexy connection is also on the mind I'm sure. Hopefully, we've caught you on time and can give you some pointers before going out. We have listed the most sexiest looks of all time below for you to follow and make your own with Mahya Mineral Makeup. Take caution...these looks have some serious attraction!

1. SMOKY EYES: Give your makeup a bedroom kind of sex appeal. Work in layers, starting with Gothic turned into eyeliner by adding water and using an angle liner. Work this around the entire eye closest to the lash line. With a Mini Chisel Smudger brush, smudge only the top of the outer corner. Follow up with Gothic dry with a Deluxe round crease brush and sweep a shimmery grey shadow, like Elegant on the lids, and finally blending it just above the crease.

2. GLOSSY NUDE LIPS: To get that sexy kitten pout, go with a nude pink color lipstick like Bronze Cloud, then taking Barely mineral lip gloss, apply this concentrating mainly on the center of the lips.

Starting with your eyes, lightly apply the lightest color, Silky Copper all over the lid, sweeping up to the brow bone for a highlighter. Lastly take a dark brown such as Smoky and dab around the top and bottom lash line then blend into the outer crease for depth and dimension. For your cheeks apply a bronze color such as Istanbul in a slanted upward motion and blending in circular motions for a healthy glow. Last step is the lips. Sticking with coppery tones but keeping the lips somewhat muted; try applying Apple Pie Mineral Lip Stick to complete your look.

Cool Night Inspired Look

Starting with the eyes, lightly sweep a light color like Rossa all over, up to the brow bone as a highlight color. Shade a medium purple color such as Iris all over the lid and into the crease. Then take a deep, two toned purple color like She Shy and dab around the top and bottom lash lines while blending into the crease creating depth and dimension. What would be more fun than to replicate her looks before going to a night club or maybe even her concert? Learning how to do it with Mahya Mineral Makeup! Follow our easy steps below for the image at bottom of blog and you'll find yourself more artistic than you thought you could be!

First prep and prime eyes with Mahya's Eye Primer. Using your finger to apply and smooth out product all across eye area.

Second wet flat small brush such as the C203 Sable Brush, dip into Gothic mineral eye shadow, and apply to lid in tapping motion. Using same application method, you want to create a rainbow shape taking color above the crease; leaving the highest point at the middle and less high towards the inner and outer area. Stop at the outer corner with a very straight edge and not applying further down than the lash line.

Okay so the hardest part is over! Next apply the same eye shadow shade dry with a small detailed brush such as blank, to the bottom lash line. This should be all the same thickness all across. Take line further out towards the outer eye area so it will be parallel to the top black edge. At this point there should be a space between two outer lines.

Next apply the same shade, Gothic, as an eyeliner to as close to both top and bottom lash lines as possible. Do this by using a small angled eyeliner brush such as the BK11 Angle Brush.

On to the fun part! With a small flat taklon brush such as the C170-6 Lip Brush, apply Mahya's Stick It Glitter Glue to the center of the eye lids. Then taking the same brush, apply Starry Night glitter eye shadow to the center of the lids on top of the glue. This will really bring out the shine and stars in your eyes! Add mascara of your choice to top and bottom lashes.

Face Primer. Those few extra seconds in the morning will be worth it once the heat starts up this summer. Face Primer is applied after moisturizer, before foundation. Mahya’s Face Primer leaves skin satiny smooth and helps prepare the surface of the skin for an even application.

Lighten up on the all over makeup application. Just like with your clothes from the winter to the summer, less is more and definitely feels better. How to Get Standout Eyes

You can use it as a starting point and adjust it depending on the occasion or how much time you have. Choose a light, medium, and dark eye shadow shade. After sweeping the light shade all over the lid, use an eye shadow brush to dust the medium shade on the lower lid. For added definition, apply a deeper shade on the outer corner of the eye. Finish by lining eyes with a dark shade of eye shadow. You can use Plum, Auburn, Smoky to give a mahogany color; Night for navy color; Forest and Rain Forest for forest green color, Bullet and Gothic for black color. You can line just the upper lash line or both upper and lower lash lines. If you choose to line eyes all around, make sure top and bottom liner meet at the outer corner of the eye.

Spring, all the more reason to use bright and bold colors! This creative look Mahya Cosmetics brings to you today is not only different but beautiful to recreate in many different shades. Follow our easy how to tutorial below and share with us what you have come up with as well!

First, prime the lids with Mahya Cosmetics Eye Primer. You may use your index finger or the BK10 Oval Concealer Brush. Just be sure you apply from lash line up to brows.

Second, apply Satin (a matte white mineral eye shadow) to inner third of eye lids and to just below the brow as a highlight. You may use a flat brush such as the BK15 Oval Shadow Brush.

Third, apply Cloud (a matte light blue mineral eye shadow) to the middle of lids using the same brush.

Fourth, apply Olive (a matte light green mineral eye shadow) to outer third of lids and just above your natural crease height bringing it inward using the same brush as before.

Fifth, apply Rain Forest (a matte dark green mineral eye shadow) to outermost corner of lids and again into crease for depth using again the same brush. This color should stay close to the fake crease as possible and just blended into the lighter green shade using the BK18 Deluxe Round Crease Brush.

Last, after all shades have been placed, be sure to blend one color into the color closest to it using windshield wiper motion. Then last, a little liner using Gothic (a matte black mineral eye shadow) with the C160 Angle Liner Brush and Mahya Cosmetics Black Mascara will finish up the fun and crazy look.

So why dress your eyes in neutral shades when you can have fun and play with color? Follow our how to tutorial below step by step and be on your way to spring in fashion!

Step 1: Prep your eyes with Mahya's famous Eye Primer! This is a great way to conceal the redness on your lids from the dry winter you have gone through.

Step 2: Contour the eyes. Add an all over matte flesh tone shade from lash line up to brow bone such as the color Nude (a light cream shade). Ooh la la ladies! Valentine's Day is over and done but it doesn't mean your passion for red has to be. Keep the guys interested and the women jealous of the hot looks you can pull off wearing Mahya Cosmetics!

This seductive red and bright silver glitter liner are a perfect match in making your eyes stand out. Try creating this easy to do look by following the steps listed below and amaze your friends.

So first be sure to prime the eyes with Mahya's Eye Primer. You can do this by simply rubbing finger in product and spreading across the eyelid. You can do this using a brush aswell but most tend to use their ring finger.

Next choose a soft hightlight color similar to your skin tone so that it does not over shine the upcoming red color. Mahya Cosmetics offers a beautiful skin tone shade called Nude. It's a matte cream and sometimes used as concealer as well. To apply, dap your C209 Brush into the color, tap any excess color off brush back into container, then tap on the area just below your brow, and blend downwards.

The following shade should be an eyeshadow shade one level below the most intense red so in this case we'll use Dream Woman by Mahya Cosmetics. This is a light red and goes great for nail polish, blush, and lips as well! Simply using the same brush apply this color from crease to highlight eyeshadow so you will be blending upwards from the crease point. Take this color from side to side also so it should be both in the inner eye and outer eye area.

Again, using the same brush you will apply the last and most intense red. Mahya Cosmetics offer a vibrant shade called Moulin Rouge. As risky as its' name, this goddess of a red really makes the difference from all others in your makeup bag. This shade will be placed on the eyelid and blended upwards to the light red shade. It should also be applied side to side from inner to outer area of eyes.

Using Mahya Cosmetics BK16 Mini Smudger Brush , take Moulin Rouge and very lightly apply near the bottom lash line from side to side. It should be connecting to the Moulin Rouge you have on top on both sides of the eye.

Although, the glitter will be your focus, you still should apply Gothic eyeliner winged. Do this by using Mahya Cosmetics BK11 Angle Liner brush (damped), dap into color, tap excess, and apply thin from inner corner of eyes to outer with a wing at the end pointing upwards.

Next using the same brush, apply our Stick It Glue as an eyeliner to both eyes. Then using the same brush, dap into Jewell (multi-colored silver glitter) or any other of our silver glitters, and apply to where you placed the stick it glue. Be sure to just tap glitter in place and it will apply beautifully!

Lastly apply Mahya Cosmetics Black Mascara to both bottom and top lashes for the full effect of a walking diva!

Clean Me Up Butter Cup!

Love your brushes ladies! It’s your best friend when wanting to accomplish that flawless look with your makeup. The better you care for your cosmetic brushes, the better they will serve purpose. When you buy a car, never wash it, do you expect it to the best beauty prize? I didn’t think so. Not only that but you want to be sanitary with them as well. Oh too many times do we let our loved ones use our makeup and apply with our brushes. With little time, you will accumulate unwanted bacteria. Be safe, be clean, be beautiful, and be nice to your soft and fluffy brushes!

Don’t take what we have written out of proportion now…cleaning your brushes should be a hobby not another chore. If you have purchased brush cleaner from your local beauty store, you can easily do this task while watching your favorite movie or show. Just grab the brushes, some tissue, snacks, and a comfy pillow. Put a little brush cleaner on the tissue. Get the brush and gently in circular motion rub the brush on the tissue. You will be able to see all the dirty makeup coming off then on to your next brush. Do this once a week or even twice a month but no more than that will be needed.

If you aren’t looking to spend a few bucks at the beauty store, it’s alright with us if it’s alright with you! There are plenty of home remedies for the home ladies. Some say using vinegar and water can be more powerful than using a store bought brush cleaner. We suppose this all depends on the exact brush cleaner you buy. Some are cheaply made and can be more perfume ingredients than actual disinfecting ingredients. Nevertheless, mixing ¼ vinegar with ½ cup of water will create a quite good source of brush cleaner. After mixing the two gently apply some to the brush hair either by hand or by pouring some of the mix on a tissue and rub into the hairs till all the old makeup comes off.

Keeping up with your highly priced or even cheaply priced cosmetic brushes is just one of the few steps it takes to caring for your skin and natural beauty. Be kind to them and they’ll keep all the bad off your skin and help you build all the beauty you want!

Choosing the exact colors you want to wear in the morning can be a bit challenging when you own so many of them however, Mahya Cosmetics makes it easy with our preset stackable mineral eyeshadows. We have 8 different stacks to choose from, each having 9 different and unique highly requested for colors. The stack we would like to recognize this month is the stack named “In-Love”. Its name should say it all but no worries, we will go into more detail on how this stack was created with love.

Glamour Red is the first color at the top and it’s a heart stopper. It is a white based shade with a hint of red shimmer. So perfect for February since it is known for also being the month of love. From red roses to red nail polish, it’s always been a color symbolizing love and passion. Because red on the eyes can be a bit fierce, we turned it into a sheer red showing through the white base. It’s perfect for a highlighting color in the inner corner of eyes! Try it as a lipgloss and nail color too for a cool fire appearance.

China Rain is more like pink/purple rain in the winter time. It takes any color its paired with to a whole new level. It is very diverse in looks aswell. With one turn, it may seem you have a light pink but with another turn it may even appear as if it’s a light purple. This color is perfect for the eyelid area up to the crease, when used for the lips, and/or nails! Try this when you go on a date for sure…it’s nicknamed the man puller at the office for everytime its applied, men are just pulled into your conversation not to hear more of your voice but to have the chance to gaze more into your eyes.

Dream Woman is the shade for most ladys on a work week. A lot of women like this light shade of red because it leans more toward a neutral shade versus the fire we see in most reds. At the shows, its typically sold as blush or even lip color but once the ladies apply it to the crease of their eyes, it becomes their new everyday wear color! Because it doesn’t look so red, you can literally wear this all day any day without worrying it will not match the reason or the season. It’s truly the color to put your trust in!

When people think of February, they think of Valentine’s Day, a cold breeze leaving winter, and romance! Great colors that embrace this time of year are pinks, reds, and purples. Following the crease color would be the highlighter shade just below the eyebrow. The purpose in putting color in this area is to define your eyebrows and to complete the whole look! Great colors with Mahya Cosmetics to use are: Silky Silver, Nude, Satin, and Golden Light. When deciding which highlighting color to use it depends on which eyeshadow them you decided to go with. For example: If the most vibrant color you used in crease was more gold base than I would use Fairy Tale which is cream based so it would blend in well with a gold eyeshadow you have already selected.

The last step is to define your eye lashes and eyes with eyeliner. This is fun because Mahya Cosmetics have so many different to choose from. How To Apply: The Sexy Sea Look

From the photo shown below, the look seems as if only possible with the assistance of a professional makeup artist….however, it’s easy for anyone to do with Mahya Cosmetics!
With our professional experience and knowledge we would love to share with you the secrets on how to easily accomplish the beautiful green and blue eyed look.

First apply Eye Primer to the entire eye base area. You may do this with your index finger or with a Oval Concealer Brush. This is more of a cream base and goes with all complexions. Its purpose is to lengthen the look, so you use less product over all, and to enhance the vibrant colors. It also prevents creasing, smudging, and smearing!

Next using the Oval Shadow Brush, apply Nude to just below your eyebrow as a highlighter. This a matte cream color and more white based than yellow based which is perfect for this look.

Using the same brush, apply Bullet to eyelids up to crease area. You can also drag this color slightly above crease and blend it in well with Nude. Bullet is a matte light gray and really nice to use for a smoky eye and to enhance the sex appeal in your eyes!

Then using the Deluxe Round Crease Brush, apply Little Bird to the crease starting from the middle and blending outward. Be sure to leave a bit of room for the blue color we will be placing next in the outer area. This is such a unique, fun, and vibrant shade of light yellow/green!

Then using the same brush, apply Turquoise to the outer crease while blending into the previous color placed. Lots of blending is involved when using such contrast colors.

After all blending has been completed, be sure to use eyeliner. The first eyeliner you could go with if trying to replicate this photo exactly is Gothic mineral eye shadow. This is a matte black and always a perfect definer. Damp the Angle Eyeliner Brush and turn eye shadow into eyeliner. Once you have done this, start from inner corner of eye thin and wing the liner outwards and up a bit thicker than when you started. Also do the same for the bottom liner and get as thin and close to lash line as possible. Besides using Gothic, I think it would be also really interesting and unique to use the following colors as eyeliners with this surprising look: Deep Sea a deep blue and vibrant green mix, Dolphin a combination of dark blue/gray and glitter, and Queen a matte black with multi-colored sparkle.

Once you have completed the complete look, be sure to turn those morning lashes into sexy ones by using Mahya Mascara in black!

Easy breezy ladies. If you’re not sure it’s going to come out right, then just play with the look on a day you are not heading out anywhere so you can become pro at it. Makeup History: The Early 19th Century

Imagine your life with out makeup…it would be crazy right?!?! In the 19th century, it was embarrassing to admit you even wore makeup or be seen at a salon. Like Mahya Cosmetics, they thrived on the idea of natural beauty so if they used makeup, it was to look as real as possible. Unlike Mahya Mineral Makeup, they weren’t using 100% crushed minerals; instead they would use either chemical pact products or food colorings found in the typical kitchen.

One major difference in the skin that is obvious from the 19th century to now is the fact they were so pale and we have so much more sun tan on our faces. With paleness, women were considered fragile and too good to work. Women with a tan obviously were frowned upon as it seems they had been working in the fields. They would even go over board as to painting their neckline with blue fine lines to enhance the effect of how light and translucent their skin was, making veins visible. Wow, now that’s crazy!

A few ways to enhance their beauty with what little they had back in the day were: darkening their eyelashes with burnt matchsticks, used poppy petals to stain the lips, and stick on rouge for their cheeks.

It wasn’t only until 1909 that makeup no longer was hidden and an under the counter process. Selfridges opened in London’s Oxford Street and openly sold cosmetics. All could see the small variety offered and with out shame, shop for their so long wanted items. Although, makeup was available the colors used were still not intense and they kept the look very natural. In 1910 Sergei Diaghilev’s Russian ballet influenced women’s wardrobe and makeup greatly. The ballet inspired outfits were very vibrant and beautiful, thus influencing the makeup to be more glamorous and over the top. This era lasted shortly until women began to wear makeup again in the 1920’s. This also was the time when proven nourishing creams and lotions were invented besides the ones women had already made for them selves at home.

Of course, makeup was never worn how we use and depend on it now a days but it was still very much used with stars that set the trend for a lifetime such as Veronica Lake (which picture is shown below). Hello ladies and welcome to another day of beauty! Today’s topic is of course our favorite, as we share with you some of our personal Mahya Mineral Makeup favorites. At the world of Mahya Cosmetics, we have all types of different women working in the field and at the office. With different nationalities comes different likes and dislikes however, we can all agree on one thing: we love Mahya Mineral Makeup!

People ask how our skin is so seemingly flawless and it’s always so hard for them to believe it’s from wearing all natural skin and makeup products from Mahya until they try it out for themselves. Our favorite part about working for Mahya Cosmetics, is the opportunity we get in making ladies of all age groups happier than ever from changing to a chemical pact expensive makeup brand to 100% crushed minerals from nature. Their smile is as bright as ever, when we hand them a mirror after their first makeover using Mahya Cosmetics. They love the vibrant yet natural glow our products give them and the fact that it feels as if nothing is there.

First, I have to say that I love all colors however, in this blog edition, I will be listing our must haves on the day to day basis. I have to say that Natural is our favorite over all foundation shade. It provides great coverage and is definitely a must if we want to cover those rosy cheeks of ours. Next another over all favorite is Heavenly used as a blush/bronzer. This shade is a perfect combination of light brown and a bit of pink shimmer combined. It highlights the check bones really nicely and is not to shimmery so that it keeps the face looking natural. It’s also a very nice eye shadow color too! Next is a must have….Mineral Veil! Mine is #2….there are 3 to choose from. Mineral Veil #1 is white to the eye but all are translucent so it’s great for those with fair skin complexion, Mineral Veil #2 is in the middle so fits nicely for those with medium to tan skin complexion, and Mineral Veil #3 is best for those with tan to dark skin tones. The reason why we love this product so much is because it’s what keeps the skin looking fresh and flawless all day! Who wouldn’t love this product with the wonders it does.

Now to be more specific on who likes what, I’ll start with our Russian beauty, Olga! She loves the color Strike! Oh my goodness how she wears that color as eyeliner is brilliant. She has hazel eyes and strike is green with a black base so it really makes her eyes stand out more. That’s definitely one of her must haves of the day! Next, I have to say that I personally love Dirty Blonde. It’s my eyebrow color but I also use it right in the crease just to give me some shading like when I wear bold lip colors, I want eye shadow to but only a natural light color like this. Again, we have MANY favorite colors but this blog would take forever to read if I listed all of them. Next is Mahya!!! Now she’s a woman that can pull off almost any color however, I have to say…she looks amazing when she wears Deep Sea eye shadow as an under eyeliner! No matter what she’s wearing, that color always suits her. Another Diva at the office is Samantha! She looks like a little Marilyn Monroe. She typically wears Innocent right in the crease of her eyes which really makes her baby blues stand out as well.

Beautiful! That's the first word that typically comes to mind when belly dancer's are thought of. From their figure, to their wardrobe, to their hair, jewelry, and of course makeup, these beauties are for stunning! Soo...how to recreate this look? Well, it's easy when using Mahya Mineral Makeup. Below are steps listed to help you create the look in the picture at the bottom. Try this out if you're a belly dancer, if you're into another form of dance, or if you're just having fun experiencing the art of makeup!

First we will prime the eyes with Mahya's Eye Primer. Next using the C209 Brush and American Pie Mineral Eyeshadow, tap the eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eyes and blend lightly towards the middle of your eyelids.

Then using the same brush and Sunset Mineral Eyeshadow, apply this shade to the middle of the eyelid and blend lightly outward. Both the shades listed above, should not past the brow bone and only be slightly over the crease of eyelids.

Next using the BK18 Brush and Smoky Mineral Eyeshadow, apply this to the outer corner of your eyelids and blend upwards and inwards. This shade should not over come the bright colors already used but blend into them. You can also bring this dark shade down into the bottom lashline but not all the way across.

An icon of many…this beautiful lady represents a glamorous era in time when she was living life to the fullest. Known for her signature style and makeup, we take this time to share with you how to create this stunning appearance by using 100% crushed minerals by Mahya!

First she was very fair, so in this day in age she more than likely would have been the color Natural in Mahya Cosmetic foundation shades.

She would generally use more brown tones for her cheeks than pink which we now call bronzer. A great bronzer that we have close to what she used is Heavenly or Caramel.

Then for her complexion we would definitely recommend Mineral Veil #1. This goes on last over all of the face with a kabuki brush. The kabuki brush we love to use most is the Flat Synthetic Kabuki.

Although she had platinum blonde hair, her eyebrows were filled in with a brown shade. In Mahya Cosmetics, the closest color we have to what she used is Dirty Blonde. It used by many customers who have very blonde hair or darker hair that like medium brown eyebrows. To accomplish this we always recommend our Angle Brow brush.

She never had dramatic eye shadow since she would have bold lips so for her look we suggest using a 3 step combo. First apply Eye Primer of course, then to the lids apply Nude, to the crease of your eyes apply Nifty for shine or a bit of Dirty Blonde to just give your eyes depth without shine such as Marilyn Monroe. It is best to use a Deluxe Round Crease Brush for this step. Then use Satin for the highlighting color just below the eyebrows. It is one of our matte colors however; it offers natural shine once applied. If you feel Satin is to white toned, you can also use Fairy Tale which is not matte but less white.

Now remember, she always had that perfect thin winged black eyeliner. We would suggest using Gothic which is our matte black and our Angle Taklon Eyeliner Brush. Just tap little by little across the upper lashline from the inner corner of your eyes out. To wing the eyeliner, slightly angle the brush upwards and the end will be thicker than the inner eye area. It takes practice if you’re new to eyeliner but with the Angle Taklon Eyeliner Brush, it makes it so much easier. It basically does the work for you.

Now to finish the eye look, apply Mahya’s Mascara in black to the upper and bottom lashes. If you have straight lashes, be sure to curl them before applying mascara.

Now you are ready to create fierce and sexy lips! First apply Ruby Red lipstick and top it off with Show Girl lip gloss. These are bold colors to match this look.

If you really want to recreate this look, you can even add her famous mole to the right side of your face just to the side of your nose and above your lips. Use the same color you did for you eyebrows and with the Angle Taklon Brush you used for eyeliner. The tip of the brush makes a perfect point if you wet the color as if eyeliner and apply.

Makeup History: Behind the Beauty of a Geisha

The beautiful Geisha women are from the ‘Edo’ era dated to about 400 years ago in Japan. The name Geisha means a person who entertains or performs. They were trained from young girls and how to cater to the audience’s needs through their beauty, music, and talented dancing routines. Geisha’s were very educated so that when those from the west came, most could carry out a very intellectual conversation with them in English.

In becoming a Geisha, it takes five to six years and requires difficult training. Because of modern society amenities and changes, the number in those willing to become Geisha’s have decreased.

The process in becoming a Geisha, if accepted, would require a young girl to go through an apprenticeship that involves living with a head Geisha. During this time, the trainee must help with the chores of the house, learn customs and social skills, and take music and dance lessons. After about six months, the trainee Geisha is called a maiko girl, and accompanies a Geisha on her appointments in order to become acquainted with customers. At about age 20, the maiko must make the decision to become a full Geisha or not. If a girl wishes to marry she cannot become a Geisha.

Today in Japanese hotels and restaurants Geisha entertain at banquets and socialize with guests. The costs for the services of a Geisha vary depending on the number the food, beverages, and the entertainment. The role of the Geisha in Japanese society is a source of much curiosity for tourists. To tap into that curiosity, visitors can go to shops where they can dress in traditional Geisha Kimonos, have Geisha make up applied and then have a souvenir photo taken.

The traditional attire of Geisha women would consist of wooden shoes, kimonos, and the perfect makeup look. The colors they applied for makeup that they were highly known for was the white painted face, the slick black linings on their eyebrows and eyes, and the bold red lips. They occasionally had pink cheeks and eye shadows as well. If wanting to replicate their desired look, you may easily do so by using Mahya Cosmetics. The one we would like to use for example today is "Topaz". It is truely an eye catcher and highly requested for online and at our events. It makes the job look hard however, it's actually a one-two step process.

Be sure that your nails are nicely manicured of course. You will need any clear nail polish or of course by using Mahya's Wild & Crazy clear nail polish and the mineral color of your choice, which in this case is "Topaz".

First dip the nail polish brush into the "Topaz" glitter container. Then simply brush it on to the nail base. Then you may dip the nail polish brush back into the nail polish container. All the product will fall to the bottom of the clear nail polish container so that it remains clear for future uses.

Once you have completed this simple step to all the nails. You may add a top clear coat to all the nails to set the look. Again, this was very easy and fun to do with "Topaz" but there are endless possibilities when using Mahya's Glitters!

How to Easily Apply False Eyelashes

Keeping it natural doesn’t mean you can’t experiment and have fun with makeup! False eyelashes have a reputation of being very noticeable however, if applied properly; no one can tell if they are real or not. Some women prefer their false lashes to appear fake for a more dramatic look by wearing over the top designer style lashes which is great however; most women prefer the natural look. To accomplish this, follow the simple steps below. Warning: Once you see the difference, you may become addicted!

Step 1: Choose the lashes!
Mahya offers a great variety of lashes to choose from at her store in Dallas and at the events she attends through out the nation. If you are not local or able to visit, you can always find inexpensive lashes at your local drugstore, Wal-Mart, etc. Choose lashes that are not too much longer than your own lashes, especially if you have very little room from your eyelid to your eyebrow. Lashes that are not equally cut across appear more natural. For example, our eyelashes are never all the exact same length so your fake lashes shouldn’t be either to appear more natural. Also, choose them depending on thickness as well. False eyelashes that are similar to your natural thickness in lashes are most desired.

Step 2: Glue!
Now that you have the lashes, pick the glue. Most eyelashes come with their own glue however; those glues typically do not work out too well. With time the glue weakens and therefore lashes do not hold all day. The glue to recommend would be DUO Glue in White to Clear. They sell this at the same locations they sell eye lashes. This glue does not have a bad smell and do very well in bad weather conditions. It goes on white but with a couple of minutes it turns clear and goes unnoticed which is what you want.

Step 3: Applying…
Now you have the tools to apply. First apply a bit of mascara to your natural eyelashes. This will help the false lashes stick to your lashes better. Then take one of the false lashes out from package and apply the glue to the lining of the lashes. While you let glue lightly dry before applying, also bend the lashes so they fit to your eyelids better. Then before glue dries completely, apply them to the correct eye slowly. You will know which eye it goes to by the length in the lashes. The smaller side of the lashes would look more natural when placed in the inner corner of eyes and the longer side goes on the outer side of eyes. When applying be sure to place them in the center of your lashline and as close to your lashline as possible but not on your lashes. Start by pressing the center of the lashes so they glue first then the outside of lashes and finally the inner lashes. Try not blinking too much before glue is dry. Once they are on, do the other side. Now that you have both lashes on, apply Mahya Mascara to the root of your natural upper lashes and do not take the mascara all the way up to the end of the false lashes. This will help blend the false lashes to your natural eyelashes.

Step 4: Line
It always helps the look to apply eyeliner at the false eyelash line on your eye lids. Apply thin or thick, just as long as it covers the false line. This helps put the finished look into better perspective and really makes it appear natural!

Now you are ready to show others how fierce you can be just with one look and they don't even realize you just learned how to apply false eyelashes!

Fall Into The Season Naturally!

With fall and winter on the horizon, be sure your makeup bag is prepared to carry you through the cold season in style! With Mahya Cosmetics, you will achieve the perfect look without appearing too sick or to dark. Most people believe that the shades needed for fall are always dark and that’s not always the case. As shown in the picture below, there is another way to bring out color without having to use super dark shades and keeping it simple!

First: Stay with your typical foundation color. No need to complicate a simple look!

Second: Apply Mahya Eye Primer to the entire eye area.

Third: Go light. The first color applied should be a light tone. This will be placed just below the eyebrow for highlight. The eye shadows we would suggest for any skin tone would be “Fairy Tale”, “Golden Light”, and “Nude”.

Fourth: Bring contrast and depth to your eyes by applying a natural deeper shade than your own skin tone. This color will be applied from lashline up to just below the highlighting shade you have applied in the previous step. You may do it this way or you can start applying the second shade from the crease up to just below the highlighting shade. Depending on how dark and depth you want your eyes to appear to be, will depend on which style you will apply the second eye shadow color. By applying it the first way mention, it will turn out a bit darker. The following colors have proven to be best for the second shade on most skin tones: “Elegant”, “Innocent”, “Vamp”, “Missing You”, and “Smoky”. There are many more but the ones just mentioned are the most requested.

Fifth: Be sure we can see those pretty eye brows! To help shape and fill in those empty brows of yours, we have many shades to match all hair colors. With Mahya’s C215 Angled Brush and your choice of color, you lightly tap the color in the places needed and following your natural eye brow shape to achieve the perfect fullness to complete the look. Here are some of our most requested eyebrow colors: “Blondy”, “Dirty Blonde”, “Bullet”, and “Latte”.

Sixth: Apply Mahya’s Black Mascara to bring out lushes lashes!

Seventh: Pick a nice rose shade closest to your skin tone. Apply from the apples of your cheeks and lightly take it up and out. Shades most liked but not limited to, for this spectacular season are “Grapevine”, “Rose Petal”, “Rose Blossom”, and “Blush”.

When To & Why Use Bronzers

From light skin tones all the way to dark skin tones, applying bronzers is always a needed step in accomplishing the perfect makeup application!

Most women avoid using bronzers for fear of only appearing darker however, please know that is a myth and not true. When applied correctly, bronzers contour your face which make the broad areas appear narrowed. For example, if you have a very oval face whether naturally given to you at birth or due to weight gain, by adding bronzer to the inner cheeks just below cheek bones, you will mold your face shape to appear thinner and more narrow.

There are other reasons why you should wear bronzers such as the following:

It brings the look together by adding that missing glow.
During the summer, you can add a nice shimmer bronzer to enhace the beach glow!
If you wish to appear tan, you may do so by adding a bit more than usual but be careful and do not over apply.

It helps when your face remains so pale compared to your body by applying bronzer from face to neck and down to shoulders. For this, it is best to use Mahya Jumbo Angle Powder Brush. Not only does it contour but by doing so, it actually is helping in highlighting the beautiful features of your face which otherwise would go unnoticed.

These are just a few main reasons why bronzers are needed greatly in modern makeup application.

There is definitely a wrong way to apply bronzers but if you just keep a light hand and only use natural brown tones, it is not hard to apply correctly. A good way to know if you applied to much is when your done, look in the mirror; if all you see is bronzer and it over takes the entire makeup application, than you have applied too much. You can fix this by simply and lightly applying your face powder to T-Zone area of your face as well as just below the eyes.

With great intelligence comes great responsibility…in keeping up to date with trends of course! When you go to work without makeup, doesn’t it make you feel worn out and as if work was never ending? Of course! Like most other hard working American women, it’s a hassle to apply makeup before work however, Mahya Cosmetics has done it again by providing you simple steps to easy makeup application for the work days. Join us below on creating this fun and easy trend…

Step 1: Apply Mahya Eye Primer to the entire lid area, all the way up to the brows. You may do this with an Oval Concealer Brush or by simply using the index finger.

Step 2: With the Chisel Fluff end of the C159 Brush, apply Romance mineral eye shadow to the eye lid and stop at the crease.

Step 3: Using the same brush and brush end, apply Mahya mineral eye shadow to the crease of eyes and blend upward. Do not pass the brow bone so there is space for highlight.

Step 4: Using the same brush and brush end (cleansed), apply Nude mineral eye shadow to the brow bone for highlight.

Step 5: Now with the alternate end of the same brush which should be the Angle Liner end, apply Latte mineral eye shadow (wet) to the top and bottom lash lines thick or thin. We have applied it thick so we could bring that same color and take it to the upper outer crease and blended inward to the Romance mineral eye shadow.

Step 6: Apply Mahya Mascara in black and you’re done!

The final look should be similar to the picture of our model posted below. Enjoy and show off your worth at work today!

Arabic Inspired Look

To recreate this highly talked about look, follow the steps listed below. Remember, it’s safer than ever to have fun with your makeup using Mahya Cosmetics!

Step 1: Apply Mahya Eye Primer to entire area of eyes with the Oval Concealer Brush.

Step 2: Using the Pointed Crease & Wet/Dry Brush’s dry fluff crease side, apply Violet mineral eye shadow to the outer corners of the eye lids thickly just slightly passing the crease line.

Step 3: Then using the same brush, apply Barbie mineral eye shadow to the center of the eyelid. Again, just slightly extending the color pass the crease line. Be sure to not take color all the way to inner corner of eyes.

Step 4: Using the same brush (after cleansed), apply Silky Pink mineral eye shadow to the brow bone of your eye for a highlight. Also apply to inner corner of eyes for the extra highlight.

Step 5: With the opposite side of the same brush, which is the pointed side, apply Gothic mineral eye shadow to upper lash line very thin. Bring this out into a cat eye and inward again way above the crease line. It should appear as if a sideways triangle. Gently blend Gothic mineral eye shadow from the point of this triangle inwards to the Violet mineral eye shadow.

Step 6: Using the same brush and Gothic eye shadow, apply this to the bottom lash line thick and extending this out away from the cat eye point you made earlier. This should create a space between the upper lines from the bottom ones.

Step 7: With the same brush (cleansed), apply Silky Pink mineral eye shadow below the Gothic mineral eye shadow that was applied to the bottom lashline thick. Also apply this to the space on the outer corner of eyes between the cat eye line and the bottom black under line.

Megan Fox (Transformers 2) Inspired Look

Summer isn’t over yet so get your leather boots on and crank up your bike! After completing the steps below, you’ll be on your way like Megan Fox in Transformers 2. Beat the summer’s heat with your own! We’ll show you how our makeup artist recreates this dazzling look with Mahya Mineral Makeup…

Step 1: Apply Medium Beige with Synthetic Flat Kabuki brush. Always in circular motion for great results.

Step 2: Apply Medium Tan with same brush on areas where sun light would naturally shine such as outer cheeks inwards, temples, and a bit on the nose. Also apply in circular motion.

Step 3: Apply Coraly Blush to apples of cheeks with same brush and blend into the bronzer you just applied in Step 2.

Step 4: Apply Mahya Eye Primer to the entire eye area with Oval Concealer Brush. Be sure to apply evenly or else shadow will clump in certain areas that weren’t blended well.

Step 5: Apply Fairy Tale to upper eye lid with C209 Brush.

Step 6: Apply Sunset with the same brush to the crease of the eye upward but not pass brow bone so that you leave enough room for highlight.

Step 7: Apply Light to the brown bone area for highlight using same brush.

Step 8: Apply Latte to the brows with BK20 Angle Brow Brush wet. Be sure to place more than normal in the front of brows and thin towards the end. You may do this by simply misting the brush with water and running it through the color that is on cap of Latte’s container. Be sure to check density of powder before applying and to be sure it is not too wet or too dry.

Step 9: Apply the same Latte color with the same brush thick to the upper lash line and thin at the bottom eye lash line. This may be applied wet or dry.

Step 10: Apply Mahya Mascara heavily to both bottom and top lashes.

Step 11: Apply Mineral Veil #2 with Synthetic Flat Kabuki brush all over face for finishing touches.

Step 12: Apply Hibiscus Lipstick starting from outer lip line inwards to create the plump lips.

Now just sit back and enjoy the looks you will get when flashing your new look around!

This great Latina actress made Maxim’s Hot List at #1 back in 2001 with her flawless glow shown in movie after movie. It’s so rare to see such a beautiful woman in the spotlight that doesn’t wear so much makeup or have plastic surgery (from what we know). To naturally have vibrant skin like hers, take care of your face daily with a great face scrub, by applying moisturizer, and by using mineral makeup by Mahya. Any glow needed is already given to you naturally by just washing and moisturizing your face daily. Any enhancements can be accomplished with Mahya Mineral Makeup as shown below. (Remember, colors used for face below are for the model and will vary depending on the individual’s skin tone.)

Step 1:
Apply “Medium” mineral foundation powder to entire face with Full Coverage Kabuki brush. Do this in a circular motion for an even base.

Step 2:
Apply “Medium Tan” mineral powder to the cheek bones, temples, and edges of nose with the C104 Angle Blush brush. This may also be done in circular motion and considered bronzer for the face.

Step 3:
Using the same Baby Buki brush, apply “Rose Pedal” mineral blush to the apples for the cheeks. Blend this in with the bronzer placed on cheek bones.

Step 4:
Apply Eye Primer to entire eye lids with Oval Concealer Brush. Spread evenly so when eye shadow is applied, there will not be clumps or uneven spots.

Step 5:
Apply “Oriental” mineral eye shadow with C209 brush on entire eye lid from corner to corner. Do not pass the crease of the eye.

Step 6:
Using the same brush, apply “Veronica” from the crease of the eye upwards however; do not pass the brow bone.

Step 7:
Again, using the same brush, apply “Nude” mineral eye shadow from just below brow to end of brow bone for highlight. Blend this in well with the “Veronica” mineral eye shadow already on crease.

Step 8:
Using the same brush, apply “Latte” mineral eye shadow to the outer crease of the eye just a little bit. Blend in well with the “Veronica” mineral eye shadow already on crease. This will just add more depth to the eyes.

Step 9:
Dampening the C160-1/8 Brush, dip into “Dirty Blonde” mineral eye shadow and apply to brows at spots where hair may be missing and needs to be filled in. Apply thicker at the front of brow and thin towards the outer brow.

Step 10:
Using same Full Coverage Kabuki brush, apply Mineral Veil #2 over entire face, excluding the eyes. This will provide resistance from sweat or oils showing through your makeup for the remainder of the day.

Step 11:
Apply “Blush” lip gloss. This color is a combination of pink and brown so it gives a great natural shine to your lips and will help them to appear full such as Jessica’s.

Step 12:
With Mahya Mascara, apply to the top and bottom lashes. Because Alba’s lashes are full and long, you may need to add a couple of layers to have to bat the eyes they way she does.

When using Mahya Mineral Makeup, not only will you accomplish the Kim Kardashian amazing look, you will also be caring for your skin with all natural mineral products. Just follow the simple steps below and on your way you’ll be to the red carpet too! (Foundation color will very depending on the individual’s skin tone. The foundation color used below is what we applied to our model.)

Step 1: Prime Me!
Prime the eyes with Mahya Eye Primer. This was done just by using C224 Oval Camouflage Brush. Apply evenly over entire eye area.

Step 2: Soft Like Satin!
Using the same brush, apply “Satin” mineral eye shadow to eye lid. Do not pass crease area and take it from inner corner to outer corner. Pact on as heavy as you wish. For a bolder appearance, we simply applied 2 layers.

Step 3: Highlight!
Using the same brush and eye shadow, also apply to brown bone lightly. Do not go as bold as the lid. Just lightly for a highlight.

Step 4: Smokey!
Using the same brush, apply “Smoky” mineral eye shadow to crease of eye and blend upward. The crease area should be the darkest point and it should go lighter the higher it is applied. Do not pass brow bone so there is enough room for highlight.

Step 5: Gothic Time!
Using C215 Angle Brow Brush mist with water. Then dap into “Gothic” mineral eye shadow. Apply from inner corner of upper lashline outward. This will go from thin to thick and the outer corner of eye should have tip pointing upward. You do not want to have the tip so high that it appears as a cat eye.

Step 6: Line Up!
Using the same brush and eye shadow, apply to as close to bottom lashline as possible in the same manor. The bottom line and top line should connect at the outer corner of eye.

Step 7: Awe, Don't Fall!
I applied the eye makeup before face so that if by any chance there is fall out, it is a lot easier to remove than having to do so if face makeup had already been applied.

Step 8: Kiss The Sun!
Using “Sun Kiss” mineral foundation powder apply lightly, with synthetic flat Kabuki Brush. You may start off lightly in a circular motion and apply all over face. For more coverage, simply apply more layers.

Step 9: Love To Tan!
Using C104 Angle Brush, apply “Medium Tan” mineral bronzer to the places where light hits most such as the temples of the forehead, a bit on the nose, and definitely at cheek bone area. This should be applied in heavier towards upper/outer area and lighter as you go towards the inner face. Only apply lightly so it appears natural.

Step 10: Young Apples!
Using Small Blush Brush, apply “Young” mineral blush to apples of cheeks. Do not under estimate the power of minerals. With just very little, it will go a long way so apply with a light hand.

Step 11: More Kabuki!

Using the Kabuki Brush, apply #3 Mineral Veil to entire face excluding the eye area. This sets the face and prevents future oil showing through for the day.

Step 12: No Brows to Dirty Brows!?!
Then using the C215 Angle Brow Brush, dampen once again and apply “Dirty Blonde” mineral eye shadow to the brows. This will be thick in the inner eye brow area and go upwards thin. The ends should extend as far out as the eye shadow but no further. We have applied this in the area where model lacks hair or in the blank spots of her brows and very little to the places where she does have hair so it all blends in well together.

Step 13: Barely There Lips to Full Lips!

Lastly using the C170-6 Lip Brush, we applied “Bronze Cloud” lipstick and “Barely” lip gloss to her lips for the Kim Kardashian full lips.

Not only is she one or the most twittered person, but has a great look in her music videos that are loved by many. Her looks in the most popular videos are ranging from the innocent school girl look to a vixen with a python on her neck. No one can pull off a more diverse look than she can. View steps below to learn more on how to accomplish the look she used for her “Black Out” Album Cover!

Step 1:Apply eye primer all over from lashline to brow with Oval Concealer brush.

Step 2: Apply “Fair Tale” from crease to before brow bone (not brow) with Fluff brush.

Step 3: Apply “Innocent” evenly on crease and sides should be rounded, not pointed in cat eye with opposite end of Fluff brush which is the Chisel Crease side.

Step 4: Apply “Gothic” on lid rounded off and do not pass crease, if so just do so by a little.

Step 5: Apply Eye Glue to bottom lashline lightly with cleaned Chisel Crease side of brush.

Step 6: Apply “Gothic” with same brush to bottom eye as close to lashline as possible then fade it down evenly however, do not pass the length of your eye lashes.

Step 7:Dap a bit of Eye Glue to backhand and with small Angle Brush, apply “Gothic” to waterline from corner to corner.

Step 8: Apply “Starry Night” with same brush on top of “Gothic” color on bottom eye. Tap this on, do not smear it in.

Step 9: Apply “Satin” to brow bone for highlight with Fluff brush.

Step 10: Dap a bit of Eye Glue to backhand and apply “Blondy” to mix with glue. Then apply thick in the inner brow area, upwards into a thin point, and finally down in a sharp point but not past the eye shadow you have applied to eyes.

Summer Favorite Multi-Purpose Powders

Tired of carrying so many makeup items when travelling? Want to go to the beach this summer with that perfect natural glow? Need to apply makeup fast? Worry, no more with Mahya Summer Favorite Multi-Purpose Powders!

These “all-in-one” powders may be applied by following the simple steps below.

Step 1: Pick your color!

Depending on what colors you tend to go with most, is how you would choose the right color for you. For example: If you are a very earthy tone type of gal, you may like Warm Glow or Shell the most because they carry more of a matte coral tone.

Step 2: Kabuki Time!

After tapping enough powder onto cap, lightly apply the color to your cheeks with kabuki brush in circular motion.

Step 3: Show the fluff some love!

Apply the same color on cap to your eye lids using Mahya Fluff Brush for eyes either starting from crease on up or from lashline upwards.

Step 4: Lovely lips with choice of two steps!

The first being to smear a bit of gloss onto your backhand, dip index finger into color on cap, and mixing the color on index finger with gloss on your backhand to get the shade you want. Second way is to apply gloss directly your lips, after dipping index finger into color on cap, lightly dap onto the lips.

Step 5: Polish the look!

If you need nail color as well (which guys look at that too ladies), you may also apply the same color with clear nail polish. To do this, simply tap a small amount of loose powder from your jar of multi-purpose powder into a small container. Then dip the nail brush into the powder and brush over the nail. Brush repeatedly until all of the powder is nicely blended into the polish. This will dry very quickly, and a second coat can be applied if desired. Be sure to have some gentle nail polish remover available to clean off the brush before dipping back into the bottle. In this way, your nail polish will remain clear for the next color.

2009 Back to School Makeup Trend

Starting off school with punk neon plaid skirts? Of course it will be a great year! With the variety in colors for wardrobe this year, it would be best to invest in makeup colors that would go great with most the items you have. I have listed below steps in accomplishing a look wearable throughout fall yet able to be spiced up or simmered down according to how you’re dressed and also, so it does not become boring.

Step 1: Prep your eyes with “Eye Primer”. This will be placed all over the lid with Oval Concealer Brush.

Step 2: Using “Moulin Rouge” mineral shadow, blend it from lash line upward just above the crease of your eye but not all the way to the brow bone. This can be done by using the Chisel Fluff Brush side of the Angle Liner & Chisel Fluff Brush (2 in 1 brush).

Step 3: Using “Gothic” mineral shadow as a liquid liner, place it at the outer corner of your eye and slightly bring it inward midway. This may be done with the same brush used in the previous step however, use Angle Liner end instead.

Step 4: Also using “Gothic” mineral shadow as liquid liner, place it just below bottom eyelash line midway (again, not all the way in). Again, this may be done by using the same brush end in the previous step.

Step 5: Then add “Swan Lake” mineral shadow as a liquid to the waterline and inner corner of your eyes. Another tip to set of this look would be adding “Gem” mineral shadow on top of “Swan Lake” and bringing it down just below the “Gothic” liquid line at bottom of eyes. Because there is a drastic color change, you may want to use an alternate brush to apply this such as the Angle Fluff Brush.

This is a great way to match your rockin’ outfit this school year to your makeup. Remember, you can dress it up a bit by adding more “Gothic” mineral shadow to your eyes or for a smokey look or dress it down by adding less “Gothic” or “Moulin Rouge” mineral shadow.

Please know that the colors used are not the only ones capable of making this great look. The following mineral shadows are also suggested depending on your mood or outfit for the day: Barbie (pink), Jade (green), or Violet (purple). The finished look should resemble the picture as shown below.

The main point is to have fun with it and what better way than by using all the bright and bold mineral colors that Mahya Cosmetics has to offer at a great price!

Angelina Jolie Inspired Look with Mahya Mineral Makeup

It is even easier than ever to accomplish the look you only see in magazines on celebrities now with Mahya Mineral Makeup! If feeling in a strong and sexy mood today, follow the steps listed below to appear on the outside how you feel in the inside.

Step 1:
Apply “Eye Primer” gently all over the lid with the “Oval Concealer” brush. Press on little by little instead of swaying it on.

Step 2:
With the “Oval Shadow” brush, lightly pat on “Golden Light” mineral shadow all over the lid and up towards the brow bone area.

Step 3:
Then lightly apply “Dirty Blonde” mineral shadow to the crease area with a “Deluxe Round Crease” brush. This adds depth to your eyes.

Step 4:
With the “Angle Eye Liner” brush, apply “Gothic” mineral eye shadow to your upper lash line starting at the inner corner and outward. As you bring the brush outward, pick it up at an angle to give it that cat eye appearance. Do not pass your normal eye length by much.

Step 5:
Using the same eye shadow and brush as step 4, apply a thin line to your bottom lash line starting from the middle and bring it outward.

Step 6:
Then apply mascara to your upper and bottom lashes to complete the look with “Mahya Mascara”.

To spice this look up a bit, add “Strike” mineral eye shadow (dry) to the lash line thick with the “Angle Fluff” brush before applying “Gothic” as eye liner.

Chemicals to Avoid

Before purchasing ,You need to consider mineral makeup products do NOT contain those chemicals. Because...

Parabens - are chemical preservative that have been identified as estrogenic and disruptive of norm hormone function. (Estrogenic chemicals mimic the function of the naturally occurring hormone estrogen, and exposure to external estrogens has been show to increase the rest of BREAST CANCER.

Phthalates - are known to cause a broad range of birth defects and lifelong reproductive impairments in laboratory animals that are exposed to these chemicals during pregnancy and after birth. Phthalates are also known to be hormone-mimicking chemicals, many of which disrupt normal hormonal processes, raising concerns about their implications for increased BREAST CANCER risk. Studies have shown that phthalates can damage the liver, the kidneys, the lungs and the reproductive system, especially the developing tests. Phthalates are a family of industrial chemicals that are used as plastic softeners or solvents in many different consumer products. They can be absorbed through the skin, inhaled as fumes, ingested when they contaminate food or when children bit or suck on toys, and are inadvertently but directly administered to patients from some PVC (polyvinyl chloride or vinyl) medical devices.

Bismuth - is the by-product of lead and copper refining, as well as other metals to a smaller degree. Bismuth occurs very rarely in nature. It is on the periodic table of elements under the symbol Bi at atomic number 83. It is very heavy and chemically resembles arsenic and antimony. It has a whitish/iridescent hue and has a very high shine property to it. Of all the heavy metals it is the only non-toxic. Bismuth is a carrier for fuel in nuclear reactors. Bismuth components are used in everything from detection work, to making acrylic fibers, to safety devices in fire detection and extinguishing items, soldering, magnets and medicine as well as cosmetics. Because it is a by-product of lead refining, bismuth oxychloride should be lead free when companies begin using it in their cosmetics.

Talc - Talc is toxic. Talc particles cause tumors in human ovaries and lungs. Numerous studies have shown a strong link between frequent use of talc in the female genital area and ovarian cancer. Talc particles are able to move through the reproductive system and become imbedded in the lining of the ovary. Researchers have found talc particles in ovarian tumors and have found that women with ovarian cancer have used talcum powder in their genital area more frequently than healthy women.

Talc poses a health risk when exposed to the lungs. Talc miners have shown higher rates of lung cancer and other respiratory illnesses from exposure to industrial grade talc, which contains dangerous silica and asbestos. The common household hazard posed by talc is inhalation of baby powder by infants. Since the early 1980s, records show that several thousand infants each year have died or become seriously ill following accidental inhalation of baby powder.

I want to share my experience and knowledge with you .For mineral makeup you should consider the following points:

100% natural does not mean 100% hypoallergenic and there is always a very little allergy risk so you need to convince people that every skin type is different.

Do not forget, glitters are not minerals!

There is not expiration date for the mineral makeup except for mineral lip gloss and mineral lip stick unless it is contaminated with water or other external materials. Mineral make up is one of the products that have the longest shelf life.

Mineral make up is weightless.Skin absorbs the mineral makeup easily, that is why it feels light and gives the impression that it does not stay on the skin, unlike liquid foundation.

For mineral makeup primer you can use “Liquid Gold” underneath the concealer powder.

Most of the mineral makeup products are multipurpose.For example, Mahya eye shadows can be used wet.

Consider the mineral makeup that contain no talcum powder or oil so they do not crease on the eye lid.

Mineral Make Up does not clog the pores. So even if a person perspires a lot, the powder will still continue to naturally sit on the skin. My minerals have Vitamin C enriched Green Tea extract, which is an antioxidant, as an ingredient for foundation and concealer powders.

There is no starting point for mineral makeup. However, we do recommend beginning with the eye area because we do not want to waste the loose power. Then you can apply the concealer.

I suggest that you do use Mineral Veil. It makes your skin tone even since it is a clear powder by making your pores more invisible and absorbs the excessive oil.
